Memories

Memories hath no boundaries,
but for itself.
It yearns to be cherished, treasured, guarded
and so It seemed.

Sadly my heart it will break
Leaving behind nothing but the truth
About You and I
Leave it as it was, or gone.

It had a scent of mighty perfume
intoxicating yet attracting
It lied to me about You,
but fairer still it seemed, your memoir.

bring it may, as it was,
indeed contracting and ironic
Wishes made are stored and spread
Memories touched my soul, melted heart.

As it was and shalt be,
forgotten as much as yesterday,
So much as the wind, fleeting yet ever-present
It will ne'er be forgotten
e'en till eternity.
